There’s a lot of good information to be found on the Internet these days. Recently I found an excellent article on Vasont Systems’ “CM Quick Tips” blog called “Writing Tips for Greater Content Reuse.” Vasont Systems provides content management software (CMS) for dynamic publishing and their blog contains many informative articles.
The tips in this article are aimed at the re-use of content within a CMS, but the article also makes several good points about cost savings in translation. As the article points out, “…more content reuse = less unique words = less translation costs.”
